With his third step, Vamana asked Mahabali to give him a place to rest his foot, and the demon king, realizing that Vamana was a divine being, offered his own head as a place for Vamana to rest.

Vamana, satisfied with Mahabali’s devotion, granted him a boon and allowed him to return to the underworld, where he would continue to rule as a just and wise king. With his mission accomplished, Vamana returned to the divine realm, having restored balance to the universe and defeating the demon king Mahabali.
